About EFI

Engineered Fabrication, Inc. (EFI) designs and builds special purpose industrial machinery. EFI also manufactures parts for other machine builders and provides design, machining and fabrication services to various industries. Our fabrication and machinery assembly area has 15,000 square feet under a 5-Ton crane and is equipped to weld ferrous and stainless steel and aluminum. Our 8000 square feet machine shop is equipped with both conventional and CNC milling and lathe machines. EFI has excellent CAD/CAM capability with particular emphasis on weldments requiring subsequent machining.

We are commited to a safe work environment both at our plant and at our customer's facilities.


Services

EFI also offers outside services including evaluation and repair of plant machinery and equipment, machine alignment, installation and modification, field welding and fabrication, and process troubleshooting. Field services and millwright work are coordinated by Thomas Klein.

EFI has been in business since 1985 and has a stable workforce of highly skilled and dedicated employees. Each of our fabricators are certified by the American Welding Society. We serve local as well as national and international industry. Our machines have been exported to plants in England, Brazil and Korea. EFI is also a US manufacturer of equipment for several European companies. Our broad customer base includes those in the aluminum recycling, fiberglass, wood processing, glass handling and processing, automotive, and packaging industries.

Horst Klein, the president of EFI is a machinist by trade through an apprenticeship in Germany. He has a mechanical engineering degree from Auburn University. Steve Miller, vice-president, is a registered professional engineer and a graduate of Georgia Tech in mechanical engineering. Tom Klein is the manager of outside services. John Lee Ginn is a mechanical designer/draftsman using both AutoCad and Solid Works for computer aided design.

EFI is located approximately 60 miles northeast of Atlanta with convenient access to Interstates I-20 and I-85.
